This Privacy Policy explains how FastHandsNow Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us", "FastHandsNow") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our mobile applications and services in India.
1. Who We Are
FastHandsNow is an on-demand labor marketplace operating in Chennai, India. We connect customers seeking short-term workers with verified service providers. We are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).
2. Information We Collect
When you use FastHandsNow, we collect:
- Phone number: for OTP authentication and account creation
- Name: for personalization and worker verification
- Email (optional): for receipts and updates
- Location: for matching nearby workers and live tracking during jobs
- Aadhaar information (workers only): last 4 digits and a verification flag — we do NOT store the full Aadhaar number
- Bank/UPI details (workers only): last 4 digits of account number, IFSC code, or UPI ID — for receiving payouts
- Profile photo (workers only): for customer trust and identification
- Job history: jobs posted, accepted, completed, and ratings
- Payment information: transaction IDs (handled by Razorpay; we don't store card details)
- Device information: device model, OS version, app version, for support and analytics
3. How We Use Your Information
- To match customers with workers based on location, skills, and availability
- To process payments via Razorpay and disburse payouts to workers
- To verify worker identity through registered KYC providers
- To enable phone-masked calling via Exotel between users
- To trigger per-job insurance via Acko or similar partners
- To send transactional SMS via MSG91 (OTPs, booking confirmations)
- To send push notifications about job opportunities and updates
- To respond to support queries and resolve disputes
- To improve our service through aggregated analytics
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Aadhaar Handling
For worker identity verification, we use UIDAI-authorized KYC partners (such as Surepass or Hyperverge). The Aadhaar number is sent to the partner for real-time verification with UIDAI. We receive only the verification result and store ONLY the last 4 digits of the Aadhaar number along with a verified-status flag. The full Aadhaar number is never stored on our servers. We comply with all UIDAI regulations and the Aadhaar Act, 2016.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data only with these categories of partners, and only as necessary:
- Razorpay: for payment processing and escrow
- MSG91: for SMS OTP delivery
- Exotel: for phone-masked calls
- Acko or similar insurer: for accident insurance
- UIDAI-registered KYC partners: for Aadhaar verification
- Supabase: our database and infrastructure provider
- Law enforcement: when required by valid legal request
We never sell your personal data to any third party. We never share your data for marketing purposes by anyone other than FastHandsNow.
6. Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: correct inaccurate information
- Erasure: request deletion of your account and data
- Grievance redressal: file complaints about data handling
- Nominate: designate a person to exercise rights on your behalf
- Withdraw consent: for any non-essential data processing

7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes outlined. Specifically:
- Active account data: retained while your account is active
- Deleted accounts: retained for 30 days after deletion request, then purged
- Transaction records: 8 years (per Indian tax law)
- Aadhaar photo: deleted within 30 days of verification
- Communication records: 6 months
8. Security
We protect your data through industry-standard practices:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
- Row Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables
- Restricted access — only authorized staff can view personal data
- Audit logging of sensitive data access
- Regular security reviews and penetration testing
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board and affected users within 72 hours.
9. Children's Privacy
FastHandsNow services are intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified to you via SMS or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance.
